KAMBO
Kambo is a poisonous substance that the giant monkey frog secretes. People sometimes refer to this animal as the giant leaf frog. Its scientific name is Phyllomedusa bicolor.
The giant monkey frog is native to the Amazon rainforest. They reside in parts of Brazil, Peru, and Venezuela. People in many cultures revere giant monkey frogs for their alleged healing abilities.
Proponents believe that the kambo can purify the physical body of toxic substances, as well as purify the mind and spirit of negative energy. They also claim that the ritual can:

The kambo experience
After tiny, superficial burn points are made on the skin, the frog secretion is applied. Through the lymphatic system, it travels to the heart to bring one back to a balanced, natural state before moving to the body parts which need it most, restoring wholeness. “People perceive this as intense heat.
Sometimes they get cramps or feel pain in the body, until they reach a point where they feel so nauseated they need to purge. With the purge comes relief, and the completion of the ceremony. Yet, the medicine continues to work.”
Kambo purifies, detoxifies, cleanses and reboots the immune system. “From a metaphysical perspective, since frogs can’t endure toxic environments, it challenges us to release emotions like anger, hatred and bitterness; emotions holding us back. It brings about restoration, renewal, transformation, and even metamorphosis”.
Possible Benefits of Kambo
Research conducted since the 1980s has shown the chemical makeup of kambo to contain short chains of amino acids, known as peptides, that affect gastrointestinal muscles and blood circulation as well as stimulate the adrenal cortex and pituitary gland in the brain. While there are no clinical studies that definitively back up kambo’s efficacy, the properties of kambo peptides suggest it may be a promising treatment for the following conditions:

- Migraines

- Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease
- Vascular insufficiency
- Organ diseases
- Cancer

Please note that by signing up for our retreats, you are also agreeing to our refund and cancellation policy in which we grant 24 hours to cancel your reservation for a refund, minus any commission, transaction, or conversion fees we incur in processing your payment.
In the case that you cannot attend the scheduled Ayahuasca retreat program in which you booked, please let us know as soon as possible, and we’ll be glad to provide a credit towards a future retreat or the ability to gift your reservation to a relative, friend or anyone you’d prefer.
This will also incur an additional cost of 10% of the total payment of your Ayahuasca retreat .
Our Flower of life Ayahuasca healing retreat center reserves the right to not allow or accept any inappropriate conduct, activities and requests that are considered dangerous or may cause physical, mental, emotional or spiritual harm, or that are inappropriate and not aligned with our behavior regulations based on the harmony of our principles. If any circumstances arise that cause disagreement with our protocols, the participant will be removed from Flower of life Ayahuasca healing retreat center without the right to returns or refunds.
