What is the Shamanic diet of Medicinal Plants?

It is a period of time where a person maintains a series of dietary and behavioral restrictions while ingesting medicinal master plants.

The basis of the diet is to form a bond and learn from the knowledge of medicinal plants and reach a conscious connection with nature, life, the soul and the human spirit.

During the retreat a strict diet consisting of chicken, fish, brown rice, grains, and unprocessed foods with no sugar, salt, added flavors, fruits or certain vegetables.

This is to respect the ancient traditions of shamanism and allow the master plants to connect deeper into our physical body and subconscious mind.

Ayahuasca, as part of this process, will be given to the participant before opening their diet and on the last day to close the diet with their protective Icaros.

The duration of the shamanic diet process with medicinal plants is a minimum of 8 days up to six weeks in our Ayahuasca Healing Retreat Center.

Why is it important to do a Shamanic diet?

The shamanic diet is associated with the desire for learning, healing and personal growth.

These plants work at three levels: physical, mental and spiritual.

The shamanic diet, more than a diet, is a process of spiritual balance.

Each infusion of medicinal plants opens the healing of the soul before the mystical exposure of medicine.

Ayahuasca also adds to the healing process and contributes to the initiation of the patient as part of the shamanic ritual.

Now, this diet—like any other—also requires willpower, dedication, and spiritual strength.

It is necessary to get out of the comfort of the routine and change the habits for the transformation and development of the character and personality of the participant.

For this reason, the diet of medicinal plants must be carried out in nature and with a highly experienced shaman.

As this diet makes them more susceptible to dieters and more sensitive to any type of external energy.

As such, it is a best practice to maintain a quieter approach during the dieta and avoid talking excessively or be in contact with information that could alter the harmony of the participant.

The participant should be as calm as possible for the best result of its treatment with medicinal plants.

They cannot be exposed to much sun, water, fire or smoke as well.

Under this regimen, ayahuasca will work the healing energy at the same time for the dieter’s learning.

The spirit of the plants is present during sleep, also creating a reconnection of time, space and cosmic unity.

At that moment, the participants will see their virtues, develop their creativity, awaken the third eye of intuition, detoxify their body of harmful chemicals, clear the information from their mind, cleanse the energy system or chakras, balance and calm the nervous system that affects emotions (anger, anger, anxiety, fear, stress)

By registering for our retreats, you agree to our refund and cancellation policy. You have 24 hours to cancel your reservation for a refund, minus any commission, transaction, or conversion fees incurred during payment processing. Please note that after this 24-hour period, no refunds will be issued.

If you are unable to attend the scheduled Ayahuasca retreat for which you have booked, please notify us at least one month prior to the start date. We are happy to offer you a credit toward a future retreat or allow you to transfer your reservation to a friend or family member. Please note that a fee of 10% of your total retreat payment will apply.

If you choose to leave the retreat early, please be aware that no refunds or credits toward future dates will be issued.

At our Flower of Life Ayahuasca Healing Retreat Center in Peru, we reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone exhibiting inappropriate behavior or engaging in activities that may pose a risk of physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual harm. Participants whose conduct does not align with our principles may be asked to leave the retreat without the right to refunds or returns.
